Hit 200 data deletion requests in one month and it made me think
I run a small crew and suddenly got slammed with 200 opt out requests last month from people wanting their info scrubbed. Turns out one of those data broker sites had my business address listed wrong and sent a flood my way instead. Makes you wonder how much personal data is floating around out there that we don't even know about, right?

You ever stop to think how many random companies have your info just sitting there? It's wild. I see it at the pharmacy counter all the time - people don't realize that every time they sign up for a loyalty card or fill out a survey, they're basically handing over their address and phone number to whoever wants it. Then one day you get a random letter from some company you never heard of and they got your name and email right. It's like a slow leak you can't plug.

Oh man, I gotta push back hard here @coran63. I mean, honestly, who cares if a bunch of companies have my info? It's not like they're using it to break into my house or steal my identity. Every time I sign up for a loyalty card at the pharmacy, I get coupons and discounts that actually save me money. That's a fair trade in my book. And that random letter from a company you never heard of? That's how you find out about new products or services that might actually help you out. I feel like people get way too worked up about this stuff when the real risk is pretty low. Maybe it's just me but I sleep fine knowing CVS has my phone number and email.
