Hit 2,000 device trackers on my phone in one week. That's insane right?

That is way too many. It makes you wonder if we are even living our own lives anymore or just being tracked by every app and website we touch. I noticed my phone buzzing at me about location stuff from apps I barely even use these days. It feels like companies are hoarding data just because they can, not because it actually helps us. The bigger pattern is that we traded privacy for convenience and now we are paying for it in creepy ways. Checking your settings might show you a dozen things running in the background that you never agreed to.

Wait, is it really a dozen apps running in the background or just a few sneaky ones doing most of the work? I checked my settings after reading this and found it was more like 3 or 4 apps I forgot I had that were hogging permissions. The real issue is those few apps sharing your data with dozens of other companies, not that every single app is tracking you individually.
