I finally turned off location tracking on my photo app
Was scrolling through Google Photos last week and realized it knew every restaurant and store I visited for the last 3 years. Creeped me out big time. I went into settings and turned off location tagging. Lost some convenience but honestly feels worth it. Has anyone else done this and regretted losing the easy map view of your trips?

Man that's exactly what got me too. I saw my timeline from a trip to the coast two years ago and it had every random taco stand and gas stop marked. @margaretj40 is right about it being creepy. One weird thing I noticed is my phone started suggesting photo albums of places I visited but never told it about. Turned that feature off too. Honestly the map view was neat for vacations but not worth feeling watched every day.
