I'm furious about my company's new wellness app tracking my every move
My employer just forced this app on all staff that links to our fitness bands. They say it's for health and to save on insurance. But now they see when I sleep, how many steps I take, even my heart rate all day. It's like my private life is an open book for the bosses. Last month, my manager asked why I was 'less active' on a Sunday when I was just relaxing at home. That creeped me out big time. I get they want to cut costs, but this feels like a huge overstep. Where do we draw the line between company benefits and personal space?

That is SO invasive. Companies have NO business tracking your personal time like that. It's a total privacy nightmare.

Doesn't it feel like everything is quietly tracking us now? I see this pattern with my smart TV suggesting shows based on conversations and fitness apps sharing data I never agreed to. It's moved way beyond just work hours into our whole personal lives. We just accept these little privacy hits for convenience without even asking questions anymore. That's what makes it so scary, it all adds up to them knowing everything about you!

What gets me is how it's not just tech, it's built into normal stuff now. My friend's car insurance went up because their car's computer said they brake too hard. It's like we're always being graded on everything we do.
