My kid pointed out I was posting their school play photos without asking

They said it felt weird that their whole class was online, so now I use a private album and send the link directly to the grandparents. How do you handle sharing family stuff without oversharing?

We switched to a private group chat for just our close family.

My cousin's group chat got weird when her mom started forwarding those chain messages (you know the ones).

Yeah, my aunt does that too and it just kills the chat. We tried what @michaeljones did with a second group, but then she found it and got upset. Now we just let the messages pile up and ignore them.
