My phone's ad blocker vs the app's own settings, and the difference in tracking was absurd
Last week I turned off personalized ads inside a shopping app's own settings, then watched my battery drain drop from 30 percent a day to almost nothing. The built-in toggle did barely anything, but the system-wide DNS blocker cut the network calls way down. Has anyone checked their phone's network logs to see how many calls these apps still make at night?
