Question about my old habit of using a password manager for everything

I realized I was wrong after my friend in Seattle got locked out of his entire digital life for 48 hours because his single master password got flagged as compromised in a data breach, so has anyone else had a close call that made them rethink putting all their keys in one digital basket?

Remember the time I used the same password for my old fantasy football league and my email? Yeah, that got me locked out of my own inbox for a week after some site got hacked. It was a mess. So I jumped on the password manager train hard, felt like a genius. Now you're telling me the master key itself can get me locked out? Man, can't win. Guess I'm just trading one kind of digital headache for another.

Right, it's like we're all just picking which kind of risk we can live with. You go from the chaos of a hundred different passwords to putting all your trust in one really strong lock. But what good is that lock if the system itself decides you can't use it anymore? Makes you wonder if writing them down in a literal book is the move, doesn't it? Feels like going backwards to go forwards sometimes.
