Switched to a password manager after my email got hacked last Tuesday

I used to use the same password for everything because I thought it was fine. Then someone got into my email and tried to order $200 worth of stuff on Amazon. Now I use Bitwarden and let it generate random passwords. It took me about 2 hours to update all my accounts. Has anyone else had a close call that finally pushed them to change?

Doesn't it feel like we're trading one kind of headache for another? We fix one problem by making everything else more complicated. That's just how life works now - you gain security but lose the convenience of knowing your own passwords.

I use "password" as my main login for three years straight. Someone got into my Netflix and changed the profile picture to a creepy clown which I thought was funny until they changed the password too. Spent a whole Sunday resetting everything and finally downloaded Bitwarden. Now I have to look up my wifi password every time someone visits because I dont even know it anymore.
