Finally patched a hole in drywall without it cracking a week later
Tbh I've tried so many times and always ended up with a crack after a few days. Last Sunday I used mesh tape instead of paper tape and actually pressed the mud through the holes. Has anyone else switched to mesh and noticed a difference?

Oh yeah, mesh tape was a total game changer for me too. I used to get those same little hairline cracks no matter how careful I was with paper tape. Pressing the mud through the holes really locks it in, in my experience.
