Just found out I've been painting trim in the wrong order for like 10 years

I was at my neighbor's house helping him paint his bedroom last week and he looked at me weird when I started doing the trim before the walls. He asked why I was painting the trim first and I said that's just how you do it. He showed me his method (walls first, then tape, then trim) and it made way more sense. No more tape bleed issues or having to go back and fix spots. Has anyone else had one of those moments where you realize you've been making things harder on yourself for no reason?
