That online guide said my bathroom tile would be easy to replace, but here's what they didn't mention about dry time

I was fixing a cracked tile in my guest bathroom, and the article I found said the adhesive would be dry in 6 hours. I waited a full 8 hours, stepped on it, and the tile shifted right out of place. Turns out the humidity in my house made it take almost 24 hours to cure properly. Has anyone else had a project go wrong because they trusted a generic drying time from a guide?

Had a similar thing happen with my kitchen backsplash where it slid off the wall three hours after I thought it was set lol.

Yeah but three hours? That sounds like the thinset wasn't mixed right or maybe the wall wasn't clean enough. I've had tiles shift a tiny bit after an hour but never slide off completely lol.
