A guy at the hardware store in Reno watched me buy a $9 stud finder and said something I can't shake
He said the cheap ones lie about where the edges are, so now I mark with a pencil and check with a thin nail before I drill, and honestly my shelves have been dead level since, but I'm curious if anyone has a cheap finder that actually holds up.
