Had to choose between spray foam and fiberglass for my attic

I was sealing up the attic in my 1920s house near Portland and had to pick between spray foam and fiberglass batts. The spray foam cost about $1,200 more for the whole job but the contractor said it would stop air leaks way better. I went with the spray foam and after one winter my heating bills dropped by almost 30 dollars a month. Has anyone else made that call and seen real savings from one over the other?

Yeah did you notice any difference in how quiet the house got after the spray foam? Fiberglass just can't seal up the old gaps the same way.

Used to think fiberglass was fine for the price. But seeing your numbers, that's a pretty clear win for spray foam.
