I finally made a picture frame without a tape measure.
Guessing the lengths worked out fine and the frame looks great.

Love when you can just eyeball a project like that and it works out! I built a little shelf last month the same way, just cutting boards to what looked right. There's something really satisfying about trusting your gut on measurements. My miter saw has never lied to me yet, haha. Feels like a small win against too much planning.

Have you ever had a project go wrong because you didn't measure properly? I get the appeal of eyeballing, but I've had too many pieces not fit together when I trusted my gut. That satisfaction can turn into frustration if you have to redo work. I find taking time to measure carefully actually saves me effort in the long run. A little planning prevents wasted materials and fixes later on. My own experience taught me that tools don't lie, but my eyes sure can.
