I learned my lesson about flex pipe in crawl spaces the hard way
Last summer I was helping a buddy swap out a water heater in his 1950s ranch house over near Oak Park. Thought I'd save time by using a 2 foot flex pipe connector instead of hard soldering the copper. Three weeks later it burst at 2 AM and flooded his entire basement storage room with about 500 gallons. Has anyone else had a flex connection fail on them like that?
