Installing a basic wall bar made me doubt complex home gyms

Many DIY guides push for pricey racks and benches to build a full gym at home. I put up a simple steel pull-up bar in my doorway and it handles most of my strength training needs just fine. It was cheap, solid, and didn't require drilling into studs like bigger setups. Do we really need all that extra gear for good home fitness?

What about pairing that bar with just one or two other simple pieces? A set of resistance bands and a yoga mat can add rows, presses, and leg work for almost no money. You basically build a full routine with stuff that fits in a closet. My buddy just added a cheap weight vest to his pull-ups and saw huge gains.

I feel that about your buddy's weight vest gains lol. It's crazy how much you can do with just a few things in a tiny corner of a room.

Yeah, that weight vest idea is a total game changer for pull-ups.
