My bathroom reno went sideways for 3 straight days, thanks to one pipe

Honestly, last month in Austin I pulled out a vanity and found the drain pipe angled wrong, so every fitting I bought for the new sink was off by 2 inches. I lost a whole weekend and had to call a plumber out of embarrassment, has anyone else had a hidden pipe wreck their timeline like that?
