My brother-in-law swore by using a 2x4 as a straight edge for cutting drywall, and it actually worked perfectly.
He said, 'Just pick the straightest one off the rack,' and after three panels, my cuts were cleaner than with my metal ruler. Anyone have a better cheap trick for getting clean lines?
