Pro tip: you don't need a full gallon of paint for a small accent wall

I keep seeing people buy way too much paint for tiny projects. I measured my bathroom accent wall at 35 square feet and a quart was more than enough, saved like 30 bucks. Anyone else have a go-to rule for estimating paint?

My uncle painted his whole garage with a single gallon, but he forgot to stir the can first. The last wall came out this weird, streaky green that didn't match the other three at all. He had to go buy another can just to fix it.

Always stir the paint, and maybe even mix cans together before you start for a perfect match.

My contractor always buys extra for touch-ups later.
