Saw a guy build a whole garden shed out of pallets in Boise and now I want to try it
I was in Boise last month visiting my sister and her neighbor had this shed in the backyard made completely from pallets. Not just the walls either, the whole thing down to the doors and the little ramp for his mower. I stood there for maybe 10 minutes just looking at how he did the corners, because I have been wanting a small shed for my mower and garden stuff but the kits at the big box store run $1,200 and up. He said he spent about $80 total, mostly on screws and a few 2x4s for the frame, and got all the pallets free from a tile place near the airport. The thing is he used pallets with the HT stamp, the heat treated ones, not the ones soaked in that chemical stuff, which I did not even know to look for. I have about 15 pallets stacked behind my garage right now from a fence job. Has anyone here built with pallets before? I am mostly worried about getting them apart without splitting every board.
