Serious question, did anyone else watch their deck boards turn gray in one summer?
I built a pressure treated deck in April and by September the boards facing south looked like driftwood, all silver and fuzzy. Turns out I skipped a sealer coat and the UV plus two months of dry weather in Pueblo stripped the mill glaze right off. I scrubbed it with a stiff brush and some oxalic acid cleaner, let it dry three days, then rolled on a clear water repellant. Two weeks later it looks close to new, but I lost about 40 hours of my summer doing it. Is there a sealer anyone trusts that actually holds up past one winter here?
