That cheap paint sprayer off Amazon cost me 3 days and $200 in wasted paint
I bought a $60 HVLP sprayer from some random brand to paint my kitchen cabinets. Worked great for about 10 minutes before it started spitting chunks of paint everywhere. Spent an entire Saturday trying to unclog it and thin the paint more, but it just kept failing. Ended up having to sand down half the cabinet doors because the finish was so bumpy. Tossed the sprayer in the trash and spent another $40 on good brushes and a foam roller. Has anyone else had luck with those budget sprayers or should I just stick to brushing?

Been there, I ended up painting myself into a sprayer-shaped corner once too!

Think people make this way bigger than it needs to be. I've been painting for years and worst case you just put down a drop cloth and step on it. Not like the sprayer's gonna hold you hostage or something.
