The day I stopped trusting my stud finder after a $300 fix
I was hanging a heavy shelf in my hallway closet in Columbus and the stud finder said solid wood. I drilled in, hit something weird, and it turned out I nailed right into a copper pipe behind the drywall. That little mistake cost me $300 for a plumber to come reroute the line and patch the wall. Has anyone else had a stud finder lie to them, or do you always drill a test hole first?
