TIL a hardware store in Springfield has a whole wall of free paint sample decks you can take home

I grabbed a few for a bathroom refresh and it saved me three trips back to check colors. Do you guys have a favorite local spot for free project supplies?

Check if they have any free tile or flooring samples too. That saved me a ton of time on my last project.

My buddy got a whole box of free cabinet pulls from a kitchen showroom that was closing. He redid his kitchen for the cost of a few screws. Those little freebie spots are gold mines sometimes.

My whole kitchen island is mismatched because of a cabinet pull sample pack I snagged from a closing shop. They gave me like 15 random handles, so now half are bronze and half are nickel. It's kind of a vibe though.
