Update: I built a small deck three years ago and the wood is already warping

I used pressure treated pine from a local yard in Phoenix, and after one hot summer the boards started to cup pretty bad. I'm thinking I should have sealed it right away instead of waiting a year. Has anyone had better luck with a different type of wood out here?

Ugh, that's so frustrating! The heat here just destroys wood. My old deck did the same thing before I replaced it.

Wasn't that treated pine just the worst? Mine did the exact same thing, cupping like crazy after one season. I switched to composite decking and haven't looked back since.
