Why does nobody talk about the flange bolt that snapped on my toilet swap last Saturday
Went to replace the wax ring at my place in Akron and the back flange bolt was so rusted it snapped clean off about 10 minutes in. I ended up digging out the old broken piece with a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers, then used a repair plate instead of trying to chip up the whole closet flange. Took me about 45 extra minutes but the toilet's sitting solid now with no wobble. Has anyone found a better way to pull a snapped bolt stub out of a flange without cracking the PVC?
