A client's one-line note killed my 10 slide habit

I used to dump every metric into monthly reports, like 15 charts and a full narrative. Then last quarter a client in Dallas wrote back, 'I only care about cash flow and churn', so I cut the deck to 4 slides and added a simple summary box. Now I swear I get responses faster, but I worry I'm hiding useful details. Has anyone else stripped down a report after one comment and felt both relieved and nervous about what got left out?

Man, that hits home hard! I did the same thing after a customer told me they skimmed my last email and just wanted the bottom line. Trimmed everything to three bullets and a call to action, and suddenly they were actually responding instead of asking for clarification.
