Am I the only one who had to pick between a cheap or expensive label printer for the stockroom?

I needed a new label printer for our warehouse bins and had to choose between a $30 basic model and a $150 one with fancy software. I went with the cheap one, thinking it would do the job. After about two months, the labels started to peel off in the cold storage area, and the print faded fast. I spent more time reprinting labels than actually organizing stock. It was a real pain during our big inventory check last month. I finally switched to the pricier model three weeks ago, and the difference is night and day. The labels stick perfectly and stay clear. Has anyone else tried to save money on a tool like this and ended up costing yourself more time?

Yeah, that "costing yourself more time" part is so true. I read a thing once that called it the "poor tax" where the cheap option ends up being more work.
