Can we talk about how weird it is to see a client's whole life in their receipts?

Last week I was doing a final review for a small business in Chattanooga, and I saw a receipt for a $12,000 engagement ring from a jewelry shop I know. The thing is, I'd just processed a receipt from a marriage counselor for the same guy two months before. It made me feel like I knew a secret I shouldn't. Does anyone else in this line of work ever get that weird, almost intrusive feeling from the paper trail?

Yeah, it's like that. I once saw a receipt for a huge bag of dog food and a single bottle of wine in the same grocery run. Felt like I saw their whole Tuesday night.
