DAE have a neighbor who insists on mowing at 7 AM on Saturdays?

My neighbor across the street fires up his riding mower every Saturday at exactly 7:04 AM, rain or shine. I checked my phone last weekend and it was 46 degrees with a light drizzle, and he was still out there going back and forth. I get wanting a nice lawn, but who actually thinks that's a reasonable time for loud machinery in a residential area? The thing is, I work nights so I'm usually asleep until 9, and this has been going on for about 8 months now. Has anyone else dealt with a neighbor who just doesn't get basic noise etiquette?

Tell him your sleep schedule and ask if he can mow at 9 instead. He probably has no idea he's waking you up. Most people aren't jerks on purpose, just clueless.

Yeah, that whole "most people aren't jerks on purpose" thing hits home. My neighbor used to start leaf blowing at 6:15am sharp every Saturday, and I was too scared to say anything for like two months. Finally I just left a note on his door saying I work late and sleep till 10, and he was super apologetic. Now he waits till after 9 and even brought me a coffee one time. It's funny how we build up these huge confrontations in our heads and then it's just a normal conversation.
