DAE have a tool just totally let them down at the worst possible moment?
My cordless drill died halfway through a fence repair job in my backyard last Saturday. I was on the last three screws of a twelve foot section and the battery just gave out, no warning at all. Had to dig out my old corded drill from the basement and run an extension cord through the wet grass. Has anyone else had a tool fail on them like that and just had to MacGyver something together on the spot?

Oh you haven't learned the "dead battery at the worst time" lesson yet? That's the Universal Law of Power Tools man. It ALWAYS happens on the very last screw or cut. I've started keeping my battery charger plugged in and ready to go at all times because of this exact situation. The extension cord through wet grass move is classic though. You did what you had to do. Now you know to keep a backup battery on the charger at all times before you start any job.

Wait, you seriously keep a charger plugged in 24/7?
