DAE have their old reliable pressure washer just quit on them?

Mine is a 10 year old Greenworks model. It was fine last week. Went to clean the patio yesterday, pulled the cord, and got nothing. Not a sputter. Checked the spark plug, looked okay. Tried a new extension cord, still dead. Felt like losing a part of the weekend routine. Anyone else had a machine just give up the ghost with no warning?

You say it feels like a betrayal, but expecting a machine to last forever is the real problem. Ten years of service is more than fair, and these things don't owe us a slow decline with warning signs. They work until they don't, and that's just how tools are. Planning for a replacement every decade is just part of owning stuff.

Ugh, does it always happen right when you need it? My old electric one did the exact same thing last spring. Just total silence on the first nice weekend. I even checked the outlet with a lamp like a fool, thinking I was smart. Ten years is a good run, but it still feels like a betrayal.

My gas grill did that two years ago, right before the Fourth of July cookout. I spent an hour cleaning the burners for nothing, just a sad little click when I turned the knob. It's always when you have people coming over...
