Flooded my kitchen after ignoring a drip for 3 months
Honestly, I always thought I could fix small plumbing stuff myself. Our kitchen faucet started dripping back in January, and I just kept putting a bowl under it. Then last Tuesday, the whole thing gave out at 2 AM, and water was everywhere. I had to call a plumber named Dave from Henderson who charged me $400 to replace a $12 cartridge. Now I'm kicking myself for not dealing with it sooner. Has anyone else had a tiny problem turn into a huge expensive mess like this?

Dave sounds like he made a killing off that $12 part. Happens to the best of us though.

$400 for a $12 cartridge sounds about right. I used to think I knew better too, after growing up with a dad who did everything himself. But @gavin_knight39 every single time I ignored a small leak, it cost me way more in the end.

Man, @gavin_knight39 really knows how to pick 'em... that $12 part ended up costing way more than just the cartridge in the end.
