I thought the 'leave your phone in another room' advice for sleep was silly until I tried it for a week.

Same here. I started charging my phone on the kitchen counter instead of the nightstand and it was a game changer. After a few days I stopped reaching for it when I couldn't fall asleep and just laid there. The first couple nights I felt kind of lost but then my brain started settling down way faster. Waking up less groggy too, like my sleep actually has a rhythm now instead of being broken up by looking at the screen.

My cat knocked my phone off the nightstand once and I slept better that night without even trying...

Three nights in and I was already sleeping like I was in a coma. Didn't realize how much I was subconsciously checking it for nothing.
