Shoutout to my neighbor Carl who told me to use paraffin wax on my crosscut saw blade

He said it would stop the pitch buildup and I ignored him for 6 months until I couldn't cut straight anymore. Tried it last weekend and my saw cuts like new, has anyone else gotten advice from a random neighbor that actually worked better than anything online?

Ngl did you test it against any of the fancy sprays first or just jump straight in?

Spent more on fancy sprays, ended up smelling like a walking chemical spill anyway.
