Threw $200 down the drain on a 'life-changing' productivity app bundle

I fell for one of those limited time app bundles that promised to organize my whole life. Paid $200 for a year of access to 12 different apps for note taking, project management, and habit tracking. Turns out I only used like 2 of them and the interface was so clunky I gave up after a week. The habit tracker kept crashing on my phone so I lost all my streaks. Has anyone else gotten suckered by those big app bundle deals that look amazing but end up being total junk?

I got burned by a similar bundle last year and ended up just using Google Keep and a cheap notebook instead. For me it worked way better to pick ONE simple habit tracker with good reviews rather than a whole suite of half-baked apps. Now I stick to a basic notes app and a physical planner for projects, zero dollar wasted compared to that bundle.

Hell yeah @cameron_webb, you know I used to be one of those people who thought a big fancy system was the answer. I'd buy those all-in-one planners or app bundles thinking this time it would stick. But you're dead right, I'd use maybe one or two things and feel like a failure when the rest collected dust. Your setup with just Google Keep and a cheap notebook actually sounds way more honest and useful. I'm gonna try that simple approach next time instead of falling for the whole kitchen sink.

You ever notice how people think buying a whole system will fix the problem, but really you just need one tool that works? Like with cooking, everyone buys those expensive knife sets but half the blades stay in the block. Same with fitness - people buy a gym membership and a Peloton and fancy shoes, but just going for a walk every day does more. The bundle companies know most folks will use maybe one or two things from the pack, then feel like they failed when it doesn't stick. Your setup sounds way more practical. Simple stuff that actually gets used beats complicated stuff that just sits there.
