TIL at a concert in Austin that you can't trust venue security to know their own bag policy.

Man I used to always assume they were the final word on the rules. But last year I had a guard turn me away for a bag that was totally fine, and then his boss came over and let me right in. Now I just look up the policy on my phone and show them the page if there's any hassle. It's wild that you basically have to do their job for them sometimes.

Ugh, that's the worst. I started taking screenshots of the bag size rules page for venues I go to a lot. That way it's right there on my phone, no searching needed. It shuts down the "let me check with my manager" loop real fast.

Wait, they turned you away for a bag that was actually okay?
