Vent: I spent $40 on a 'professional' garlic press that's now a drawer ornament
I saw it online and thought it would make prep so much faster. It's this heavy stainless steel thing that promised to mince garlic perfectly with no waste. The reality is it's impossible to clean, and you have to use so much force my wrist hurts. It's been sitting unused for months now. Has anyone else bought a kitchen gadget that looked great but was totally useless in practice?

Honestly, just use a knife.

Why do we always overcomplicate simple things?

Three years of carrying a beat-up Opinel in my pocket and I've never once wished for something fancier. It opens boxes, slices apples, cuts rope, and if I need to open a paint can I use the screwdriver end. Real talk, most of those $200 titanium gadgets just end up being drawer queens anyway.
