Vent: My take on slow gardening did a full turn after picking my own veggies
Picking my own veggies showed me waiting is part of the fun, does anyone else think so?

I always thought gardening was too slow, why bother waiting? Then I read @xena_west43 talking about the daily plant checks as a quiet ritual, and it stuck with me. Trying it myself, picking my own veggies changed everything. The wait became this build-up, each day adding to the excitement. When I finally tasted that first tomato, it was like I earned it, you know? Now I see the wait isn't a downside, it's the whole point.

Earned it" is the perfect way to put it. That first bite just hits different when you've watched it grow, doesn't it?

Totally get that. The daily check on the plants, watching them get a little bigger each time, becomes this quiet ritual. The first ripe tomato you pick tastes better because you saw every stage, from a tiny flower to that red fruit. The wait makes the payoff actually mean something.
