Warning: Don't trust that cheap phone screen protector from the gas station

I bought a $5 screen protector at a Shell station in Columbus last Tuesday because I was in a rush. It looked fine in the package but after 2 days it started peeling at the corners and now there's a huge bubble right over my camera. I thought I saved money but I ended up buying a $15 one online and it took 20 minutes to install properly. Has anyone else gotten burned by those impulse buys at checkout counters?
