Ditched my 30-inch board for a 24-inch one after a year of fighting my arms

I was using a 30x42 board because I thought bigger was better, but my elbows kept hitting the edges on tight details. Switched to a 24x36 a month ago and my arm rests actually sit on the desk now. Anyone else run into this fit issue with their setup?

Dude it's a cutting board not a rocket ship. Pretty sure your arms will survive either way.

Your elbow hitting the edge at 30x42 with tight details? That sounds like a technique thing, not a board size issue. @victorbutler probably has a point about overthinking this stuff. Plenty of people work on 30 inch boards without problems.
