Drafting with a bent triangle vs a straight one

Used a bent triangle for 3 months straight. Thought it was fine. Picked up a clean one from the office supply closet yesterday. Night and day difference. My 45 degree lines actually hit the marks now. Anyone else stick with worn out tools too long?

3 months straight" but you stopped being straight when you picked up the new one.

My old drafting teacher used to say a bent triangle was character building, but last week I finally swapped mine out after a year of fighting it. I have to admit @wesley_fox92 has a point about sticking with something past its prime. The new one cost me like 8 bucks and my 30-60-90 lines actually close up now instead of looking like I drew them with a wet noodle.
