Dropped $300 on a digital level that lied to me
Picked up one of those fancy digital levels last month for a stair rail job in Tacoma. Thought it would save time, but it kept reading 0.2 degrees off. Redid the same handrail three times before I grabbed my old bubble level and checked. The bubble said I was right the first time. Called the company, they said it needed calibration out of the box. Sent it back, got a refund, but the lost day on site hurt worse than the cash. Anyone else had a new tool that was junk straight from the factory?

Man, that sucks. Bet the factory calibration sticker was for a different unit or something, QC is a total crapshoot these days with everything rushing out.
