I finally get why older drafters hate paperless workflows after talking to Frank
Had a conversation with Frank, a guy who's been drafting since the 80s. He said something like 'you can zoom in all you want but you lose the feel of the whole sheet.' At first I thought he was just old school. But then I realized he was talking about spatial awareness. When I work on a tablet I get tunnel vision on one detail. On paper you see the whole damn drawing at once. Has anyone else noticed this shift in how you approach a layout between digital and paper?

Buddy of mine in construction said the same thing. He redlined a set of plans on a tablet once, missed a whole support beam. Swore off digital after that.

Stick to paper, lesson learned the hard way.
