Picked the cheap parallel rule over the fancy one, 3 months later no regrets
Honestly, I almost dropped $180 on a brand name drafting machine at the supply store in Tulsa. Instead I grabbed a $42 parallel rule from the clearance bin and mounted it on my board. It took me two evenings to get the cables tensioned right, but now I can crank out floor plan sketches without fighting a stiff arm. Has anyone else gone budget on a basic tool and found it works just as good for hand drafting?
