Spent 14 hours on a 3 sheet HVAC set Monday because the architect moved one column 6 inches
I opened the file Monday morning to find the whole grid shifted, so every duct run and diffuser I laid out Friday was garbage and I had to redo the second and third floors from scratch. By Thursday I was so far behind that I stayed late and caught a clash between my main trunk and a beam that would have been a $4,000 change order if it made it to the field. How do you all handle it when another trade moves something after you have already drawn to it, do you bill for the redo or just eat it?
Feeling that pain hard, nothing worse than redoing work because someone else changed their mind. Bill for it if you can, otherwise they'll keep doing it.
