Spent $300 on a fancy drafting table and regret it
I bought this adjustable drafting table from a shop in Austin about 6 months ago for $300. Turns out the surface isn't even flat, it has a slight warp that throws off my straight lines. I should have just stuck with a good flat desk and a parallel bar. Anyone else had luck with cheaper setups that actually work better?

Man, that warp sounds like a total nightmare for line work, really sorry you got stuck with that.

That reminds me of the time I spent three hours trying to fix a line on an old Martin that had a crack in the bridge plate. I swear the thing just wanted to be a wall hanger.
