Stopped using paper prints for redlines, now it's all tablet and it's just better
I used to print every single sheet, mark it up with a red pen, and scan it back in. That was like 40 prints a day for a 3 story office building job in Denver. Last month I switched to a tablet with a stylus and the PDF markup app, and I can send changes to the engineer in minutes. The old way took me 2 hours of scanning and filing, now it's just 15 minutes. Has anyone else made the jump and never looked back?

Man, that takes me back to when I tried switching to digital redlines for a residential thing I was helping a buddy with. My stylus kept glitching and I ended up drawing these dumb squiggly lines all over the wrong pages, spent like an hour fixing it. But once I figured out the app settings, yeah, no way I'm going back to printing. The scan-and-file part was honestly the worst, always losing track of which version was current. Now I just screenshot the markups and text them straight over, way less headache.
