That drafting table alignment problem ate my whole afternoon

Spent almost 3 hours trying to get my parallel bar to sit square on the board, only to realize the edge of my table had a tiny warp from humidity. Has anyone else fought with a crooked surface way longer than the actual drafting work?

Spent four hours once fighting a crooked t-square before realizing it was me not the table.

Four hours seems a bit excessive for a bent square. Maybe time for a coffee break instead of doubling down next time.
