That retired drafter in Tulsa who checked my math on the spot
Back in 2009, I was fresh out of school and working a small steel project. An old guy, name was Hal, watched me lay out a beam schedule and said 'that 15.75 inch dimension is off by a 16th.' I argued with him for a minute, then he pulled out his own scale and proved it. I still double check my fractional math twice because of that one encounter. Anyone else have an old timer correct them in a way that stuck with you?
